Rajma Pulao Recipe: Full of flavor, know the easy recipe

Rajma Pulao is as delicious as it tastes. It is equally beneficial for health. There is no dearth of people who like Pulao. Pulao is made in many ways. Out of these, some varieties of pulao like Shahi Pulao, Matar Pulao, Paneer Pulao, Vegetable Pulao, Tawa Pulao have become quite famous.

One such variety of pulao is Rajma Pulao, which you can prepare and eat at any time for lunch or dinner. Its taste is not only wonderful, but it is a food dish made in a short time.

What’s the Ingredients for Rajma Pulao?

  • Rajma – 1 cup
  • Basmati rice – 1 cup
  • Tomato finely chopped – 1
  • Onion chopped – 1/2
  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
  • Ghee – 1 tbsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon – 1 piece
  • Black pepper – 1 tsp
  • Bay leaves – 1
  • star anise – 1
  • Cloves – 4
  • Green coriander – 2 tbsp
  • Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin – 1 tsp
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Oil

How to make Rajma Pulao?

To make Rajma Pulao, first, take the kidney beans and keep them soaked in water overnight. After this boil it for 10 minutes before making it. After this put the pressure cooker on the gas on low flame. Add ghee to it and heat it. 

When the ghee melts, add cumin seeds, cloves, star anise, black pepper, bay leaves, and cinnamon and fry till it crackles. After this, add ginger-garlic paste to these spices and fry while stirring.

After this add finely chopped onion and fry till golden brown. When the onion turns golden, add chopped tomatoes and mix it well. Cook it for about 2 minutes. After the stipulated time, put the boiled kidney beans in it. 

Mix it well with the onion and spices with the help of a ladle. Now add basmati rice, garam masala, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder to it and mix it all well. Keep in mind that before adding rice, they have been soaked in water for 10 minutes.

Now put 2 cups of water and coriander leaves in this mixture and put the lid of the cooker on high flame and wait for 2 whistles. When the cooker gets 2 whistles, then turn off the gas and open the lid after the pressure of the cooker is over. 

Your delicious Rajma Pulao is ready. If you serve it hot with Dal Makhani, then the eaters will keep licking their fingers.
